The detailing on the ROTS shin is much cleaner/sharper than on those in the other films, with the raised squares having sharp edges..

Strapping system: Two straps on each shin guard, one at the top, one at the bottom, secured at the back of the leg.

Note that the left shin is longer than the right, and that the detailing at the top, in the knee area, is also slightly different. The variation was due to Dave Prowse's shins being slightly different in length. The 'squares' have rounded, rather than sharp, edges.

Casts of the shins which were made for ANH were used for the shin guards in both ESB and ROTJ. The main differences are in their surface treatment. These shins are far more polished and reflective, making it difficult to accurately identify fine details.
